Apparently it all started with a mouse that fell out of the sky.That is how a hawk kills it's prey.Spotted from undoubtedly several hundred feet away,a mouse is snatched from the earth,brought into the sky,and dropped .It is then easily and with minimal effort,eaten.Swift,clean,elegant.I came upon him,about twenty minutes after his lunch, in a small park on Second Avenue in the teens.Calm,regal and with a five foot wingspan he posed for me for what turned out to be a good ten minutes, though I couldn't be sure because it was like time stopped. His lesson : be present,sharp,alert and with eyes focused on the moment.That it is where the next gift,guide,inspiration,or even your next meal resides.
